Terms and conditions

General

  1. This set of Terms and Conditions is provided for the smooth operations of Avid Music in providing services to Clients.
  2. The “Company” refers to “Avid Music”.
  3. The “Client” refers to people making requests via the website. A client is a responsible adult who makes requests for themselves or for those under their care. References to Client include people under their care as made clear by the Client in the request.
  4. Avid Music provides services to Client. These services are Music Performance, Music Instruments and Theory Lessons, Music Notation Lessons, and Music Notation Service.
  5. “Music lessons” refer to music lessons for taking exams or for self-enjoyment and similar activities specified on the website made available for Clients.
  6. “Celebration music” refers to formal and informal events where Avid Music provides music.
  7. An “Event” refers to when Avid Music delivers a services. A service can be realised in a series of “Events” (or “Lessons”).
  8. Avid Music provides a reasonable level of service to Clients. An agreement is accepted by Avid Music and Clients that set the terms of the service. Such terms might include date, start and finish times, duration, venue, what instruments, list of music, event and local contact phone and email, and any contingency arrangement.

Terms of agreement

  1. Clients request a service using appropriate forms, or other communication means.
  2. An agreement is in force when both sides have agreed to go ahead with a Service of a Event(s).
  3. Payment of a Service (Events) secures the necessary resources to deliver the Service (Events).
  4. Clients make payment as soon as agreement is reached.
  5. If Avid Music receives multiple service requests such that there are conflicts with resources, the Client who has paid for their service has priority.
  6. A service or event(s) designed maybe restricted by the number of people who use the service or event. This restriction may by the nature and manner the service or event be delivered (e.g. one-to-one music theory lesson).
  7. Avid Music will amend and enforce any reasonable restriction where this becomes necessary before, during or after the service or event (e.g. a registered participant in a notation lesson becomes disruptive). Avid Music’s decision on such restriction will be final.
  8. Avid Music delivers service at a professional level upholding relevant professional bodies recommended standards.
  9. Avid Music will deliver the service within reasonable conditions. Avid Music reserves the right to change the terms of the agreement if conditions will affect or have affected the delivery of service to the Client. (For example, curtailment of the music notation lessons because students have not got their computers; selection of music is not played due to incidents that damaged Avid Music’s property etc.)
  10. Avid Music’s decision to provide services to Clients is final.

 

Fees and payment

  1. Payment is made using any reasonable means without incurring charges to Avid Music.
  2. Payment shall be received in the acceptable United Kingdom currency at the time.
  3. Payment shall be made in full.
  4. Clients take reasonable steps for safe transfer of money to Avid Music.
  5. Deposit options may be available. Client elects to pay the deposit amount or full payment amount.
  6. Refund options may be available if the Clients cannot go ahead with the service or event(s). Maximum refund is 50% of the full amount of the service in agreement. Refund is made within a reasonable period from the date when Client gives instruction.
  7. Transfer options may be available.
