However, more important is your interest in music and playing your instrument.
I have wide experience teaching improvisation, harmonic and rhythmic training, harmonisation, musical gesture and texture, and listening to play. Physical and mental health are equally important areas for development, and I have my own syllabus to teach this.
You usually have lessons at your place, but a hired studio is a good idea. Theory or music notation lessons can be held at any convenient location. Some of the lessons can be online.
If you are taking exams, I teach any grades.
For enjoyment, accompaniment, music or technical development, I usually teach what pieces or techniques you want to learn. Alternatively, I can draw up a plan based on your interests.
You can have theory lessons without learning any instruments from me. If you want to learn theory for better understanding of music rather than to take exams, that will be fine too.
For music notation lessons, please see this page.
